EVENT PARTICIPATION - AIRPHARO: IROS 2012 Workshop
Thursday, October 11, 2012
Vilamoura, Algarve (Portugal)
Aerial Physically Acting Robots (AIRPHARO) workshop is jointly supported by the IEEE RAS TC 1 Aerial Robotics and Unmanned Aerial, and the coordinators of the projects “Aerial Robots physically interacting with the environment” (ARCAS) and “Innovative Aerial Service Robots for Remote Inspection by Contact” (AIRobots).
This workshop is focused on aerial robots physically interacting with the environment. It should be noted that the main methods, technologies and applications of aerial robotics and unmanned aerial systems have been related to information exchanges of the aerial robots with objects in the environment, with ground stations and between several aerial robots.
The workshop will include presentations related to the main scientific and technological topics related to aerial robots physically interacting between them and with the environment including the cooperation of several aerial robots. Thus, new methods and technologies together with simulations and implementations by using quadrotors, helicopters and fixed wing aerial robotic platforms will be considered. Relevant application scenarios will be also analysed by specialists.
In addition of the presentations, the program will include round table discussions with the attendants, as well as flight demonstration and exhibition of equipment.
European Robotics Week 2013
Monday, November 25, 2013 to Sunday, December 1, 2013
It's time to show the general public what robotics is all about and what important role robots play in Europe!
The European Robotics Week offers one week of various robotics related activities across Europe for the general public, highlighting growing importance of robotics in a wide variety of application areas. The Week aims at inspiring technology education in students of all ages to pursue careers in STEM-related fields, i.e. science, technology, engineering and math
III CONGRESS OF UNMANNED VEHICLES
Tuesday, March 4, 2014 to Thursday, March 6, 2014
After two very successful editions, UNVEX'14 mission is to create the space to exchange knowledge and business demanded by the market.
UNVEX'14 will once again be the largest event of the unmanned systems. It is a great opportunity that should not be missed by anyone who wants to be in this market.
Companies can actively participate with a Stand in the exhibition area or get maximum visibility being Sponsor.
Aerial Robots: Towards a New Generation of Manipulators that Fly
Wednesday, March 12, 2014
European Robotics Forum 2014, Rovereto, IT
This workshop aims at showing the advances in aerial robotics and possible evolutions of the use of flying robots, as active players of a civil environment. The recent technology of aerial manipulators for physical interaction and cooperation will be extensively addressed. The main research challenges that prevent from the effective use of aerial robots in realistic environments will be discussed.
ICRA 2014 WORKSHOP: AERIAL ROBOTS PHYSICALLY INTERACTING WITH THE ENVIRONMENT
This workshop is devoted to the methods, technologies and applications of aerial robots in physical contact with the environment.
The workshop will include presentations related to the main scientific and technological topics (see below) including the cooperation of several aerial robots. Thus, new methods and technologies together with simulations and implementations by using quadrotors, and helicopters will be included. Relevant application scenarios will be also analysed.
CALL FOR PAPERS/POSTERS - euRathlon/ARCAS WORKSHOP 2014 ON FIELD ROBOTICS
Sunday, June 15, 2014 to Wednesday, June 18, 2014
The euRathlon/ARCAS Workshop 2014 has been designed as a four-day course to provide participants with a full overview and hands-on experience with multi-domain real robotic systems. The intended audience is postgraduate students, PhD students, Master students, researchers from universities/organizations and engineers from industry companies around the world. The workshop will provide an opportunity for attendees to deepen their understanding of outdoor autonomous robotics, to share ideas and experiences, and also to prepare themselves for euRathlon competitions. Participants will be also encouraged to join in new teams for participating in euRathlon 2015 Challenge where ground, underwater and aerial robots will have to cooperate in order to perform a series of tasks in scenarios inspired on the Fukushima nuclear disaster.
